April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, an annual campaign designed to educate and raise awareness. Check out HAVEN’s most recent blog post about the importance of SAAM and how HAVEN is here for ALL survivors.

We want to thank everyone who came out to our 13th annual Kids Are Our Business Breakfast on April 12th. After a snowy start that sadly canceled our first breakfast, folks were able to gather and enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn more about ways to further protect and educate our youth from cyber threats.

Shout out to our amazing Educators and keynote speakers, Loryn and Michele, who knocked their presentation out of the park!

We had an amazing turnout at our Camp HOPE and Pathways Mentoring open house. We were joined by over 20 participants who were able to enjoy pizza, snacks, treats, and a variety of activities and games.

Join us on April 23rd at 6:30 as HAVEN partners with The Rep to bring you Courage Speaks. Featuring Safe Haven Ballet, Portsmouth Poet Laureate Diannely Antigua, and other local performers, this inspirational evening will share survivor stories through music, dance, and poetry in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

CourageSpeaks NH uses photography, storytelling, and the arts to empower survivors and their communities to raise their voices against violence. This performance is dedicated to the brave survivors who shared their stories.

This program is made possible by the generous support of the Academy of American Poets and the Mellon Foundation.

Hooked on Books is back for its second year! Last year we started our Hooked on Books Program that allowed HAVEN to build an inventory of age-appropriate books to be handed out to kids impacted by trauma. This year we have multiple ways for you to support this effort and make an impact on a child’s life!
