The plaster sculptures of Maud Bryt ’83 evoke physical and emotional states of being. The work of interdisciplinary poet and sound artist Tracie Morris examines race, gender, and embodiment. Merill Comeau’s fiber art delves into personal memory and family history. Anna Schuleit Haber’s painting installation pushes the boundaries of recognition. Adriane Herman’s list-based work captures the self through everyday language. Elena Kovylina’s video, filmed in Palace Square, St. Petersburg, is a proposition for staging political resistance. Alison Saar’s prints offer meditations on identity, cultural history, and race. Possible Subject Positions may also host periodic interventions that address how we occupy space and take a stand, and how our positions may change in the act of encounter.
