The annual Exeter UFO Festival will go on as planned thanks to the Exeter Area Kiwanis Club. The festival has been held in downtown Exeter for the eight years, drawing UFO enthusiasts from across the country. This festival is a major fundraiser for the Exeter Area Kiwanis Club. The donation to listen to the speakers is good for both Saturday and Sunday. As with all of their fundraisers, 100% of the profits go to local children’s charities, children’s programs, and community programs. All Kiwanians are volunteers. The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club relies on your generosity at the food and souvenir stands.
The festival is held in Exeter in part because of a famous 1965 incident where a UFO was seen flying around. Also, New Hampshire was where Betty and Barney Hill famously said they were abducted by aliens in 1961.
Not only is the Exeter UFO Festival an educational experience for both believers and skeptics, it’s a fun time for families and friends. There are activities for the kids and a lecture series featuring an esteemed panel of experts for the adults.
Lectures will be held in the historic Exeter Town Hall. Festival activities will be held outside of Town Hall and in Town House Common Park located at the corner of Front and Courts Streets.
